The ABUSE of 800 Purchasers

One of the worst things about the sports handicapping business is that there are so many scams that it is almost sad.  Often you will find out about a service that will sell you a season or weekend of picks for a fee and require you to call them up to get the daily picks.  When you call them they are generally nice but pushy.  They often fall into their script mode making promises they cannot backup.  One fun thing to do is to call them up and challenge them on their exact record that week or season.  They offer you a great record that is always changed with you call back again 10 minutes later.  They get your credit card number and then they give you a pick (picked randomly).  Let us assume you lost on the pick and call back the next day, they will not acknowledge the loss.  If you ask them why a 'guaranteed' pick was a winner they attack you as not being serious.  A common comment is that "Call back when you have a better attitude" and then they hangup on you.  Keep in mind you paid them and you are the paying customer.  You call back and they still have the same attitude, the odds are they will simply fight with you and call you stupid and refuse to give you picks.  You keep trying and beg for the picks and they finally give you one pick off the top of their heads.  Does this sound familiar to you?

The reason for this abuse is that many betters are desperate because they are almost all losers financially.  They will do almost anything to get out of their financial mess.  A desperate person is easy to abuse and easy to influence once you have abused them.  At this moment a desperate better is more likely to buy into a sales pitch that better picks are to be had for additional fees.  If you abuse the right person at the right time you can possibly get up to $1000 a pick.  This is incredible when you think about it.

Advice:  Never purchase picks over an 800 line.  The following things are 100% guaranteed to happen to you:

1.    You will not get the number of picks you are promised

2.    You will hit 50% ATS in the long run (a clue that you are part of the coin-flip)

3.    You will, thus, lose moneh

4.    You will be abused for your efforts.

Good luck!
